The Cloud Consultancy
What We Do
We work with Small and Medium sized businesses (SMB’s) to identify and advise whether, when and where a Cloud based IT strategy should, or could, be adopted.
We help SMB’s understand the different capabilities of the Cloud solutions available and look to match these to their technical and business requirements.
The products we market are Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Cloud PBX and Dropbox Business. Services we provide are interim IT Director’s, Website development and retainer based support.
We are based in West Sussex serving clients in the UK, Monaco, Switzerland, France, Spain and Dubai from a variety of vertical sectors.
The Cloud Consultancy is driven by Jamie Shaw. Jamie has worked in the world of IT for over 33 years in a variety of technology based roles at companies that include The London Stock Exchange, Canon Europe, Michael Page, Publimark Lowe & Partners Worldwide and Victoria Real (now part of Endemol).
In 2003 he setup Geeks-on-Wheels which he exited in 2011. He subsequently worked for Telefonica developing syndication partner Office 365 propositions and working on the O2 Guru For Business concept. This was followed by a stint running a data centre for the Briars Group.
The Cloud Consultancy was established in 2012 as a concept business and started trading in November 2015.

I have no hesitation in recommending The Cloud Consultancy services as I found all work was done on schedule, even when emergency work was required, and within budget
Jamie has been brilliant at setting up the IT System for my new business venture, without him it would not have been possible. IT wise, I was so outdated but now Jamie has revolutionised my life

Resources – What is the Cloud?
The Cloud allows end users to quickly, and easily, access computer resources that may otherwise be too expensive. These resources are essentially split into three core categories:
Software as a Service (SaaS)
Applications that are designed for end users & delivered over the internet
Software that is managed from a central location & users do not have to apply upgrades or patches
Platform as a Service (PaaS)
A set of tools and services designed to make coding and deploying applications quickly and efficiently
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
The physical hardware and software that powers everything i.e. Servers, Storage, Networks and Operating Systems
